BPW/USA
With more than 2,000 LOs across the country, BPW/USA is one of the most powerful advocacy groups for working women in the nation. The National Federation of Business and Professional Women's Clubs Inc. was founded in 1919 as the first national association for business and professional women to coordinate the women's effort during World War I.

BPW/USA worked with President Herbert Hoover to establish the first National BusinessWomen's Week celebration in 1928. Nine years later, BPW became the first women's organization to endorse the Equal Rights Amendment (ERA). During the 1960s, BPW/USA led the fights for Title IX (equity in education), prohibition of sexual harassment and passage of the ERA.

The Business and Professional Women's Foundation, established in 1956, provides financial assistance to women seeking education to advance their careers or to re-enter the workforce. It has awarded more than $5 million in educational scholarships, grants and loans to more than 8,000 women nationwide. The Foundation also collects, conducts and analyzes research on issues affecting women in the workplace.
